Elaine Hindal - Chief Executive

Elaine joined Drinkaware in 2013 from The Children’s Society, where she was Director of External Relations. Prior to that, Elaine held a number of global marketing roles with Nokia, Cadbury Schweppes PLC where she was Commercial Strategy Director for EMEA and Global Category Director, Chocolate; and The Coca–Cola Company, where Elaine was Global Brand Director. Prior marketing and communications experience was with Beiersdorf AG and Boots. Elaine is a Trustee of the Royal Mencap Society, where she advises on brand and communications strategy.

Mark Chandler - Director, Marketing and Partnership Activation 

Mark joined Drinkaware in 2018 with over 20 years business, marketing, digital experience in the private and not-for-profit sectors backed with an MBA from Henley Management College. He has a track record of delivering innovative, multi-channel business solutions achieving; record customer attendances and net profits, new product and service launches, a social enterprise start-up and marketing awards for successful campaigns. When not at work, Mark finds his challenges in endurance sport and outdoor activities.

Adam Jones - Director, Business Development, Partnerships and Public Affairs

Adam joined Drinkaware in 2019 after previously running a successful family food business. Adam’s early career was in marketing and previous roles include Commercial and Business Development Director at the National Housing Federation, and Senior Marketing and Commercial Business Unit Manager with CORGI Group. Adam is responsible for our funder and partner relationships, new business development, and public affairs.

Suzanne Pattison - Finance Director and Company Secretary

Suzanne joined Drinkaware in 2017 from Marie Stopes where she was UK Finance Director and Commercial Director. Suzanne is an experienced Chartered Accountant and has had a number of senior roles in commercial businesses as well as non-profits. After qualifying, her early career was in Financial Services, and subsequent roles included corporate services for a green-technology start-up, as well the UK charity sector.

Jennifer (Jen) Walters - Communications Director

Jennifer joined Drinkaware in April 2019 as our first Communications Director. After an early career as a journalist, Jen has worked as a senior communications leader in a number of charities and non-profits. Recent roles include Communications Director at The Children’s Society, Unicef UK and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. Jen has recently developed a new Communications Strategy for Drinkaware and leads on all aspects of brand, content, media and public relations and reputation management.

Annabelle Bonus - Director, Evidence and Impact

Annabelle joined Drinkaware in 2020 and leads our research team. She is an experienced social researcher with a track record of applying behavioural science to policy problems; and of running and designing robust randomised controlled trials. She joins Drinkaware from Ofgem, where she led ground breaking trials to uncover what works in increasing engagement in the domestic energy market, and was part of a team awarded the 2019 Behavioural Exchange Award for Outstanding Research. Before then, she worked in the Department of Health’s Behavioural Insight Team, focussing on robust evaluations of innovative ways to improve health outcomes, including increasing attendance at NHS Health Checks, which won the UK Government’s annual Social Research Award in 2014.

Sarah Dyer-Hall (SDH) - Director, Digital, Data and Technology

SDH joined Drinkaware in 2019. A designer by background, SDH is a very experienced digital director; previously with charities Relate and BeatBullying and a number of digital agencies (including her own). SDH is responsible for our digital, data and tech workstreams, including the Drinkaware website, apps, tools, SEO and digital innovation. She has won a number of awards in digital marketing and innovation and has considerable experience in digital strategy including the development of impact frameworks.
