Make sure you check which zero alternatives are available at the venue ahead of time – if you get there having already decided what you’ll drink you’ll feel less tempted to hijack your drink-free day! With plenty of new and delicious alcohol-free alternatives coming out all the time, it’s only getting easier to enjoy more drink-free days.
Alternatively, if the sun is out and you’re heading for the usual bank holiday BBQ, try bringing some zero % alcohol with you so you aren’t tempted if offered a drink.
If the plan is to organise a big day out with friends and family, why not suggest something other than a pub gathering? It’s a great excuse to try something new, and the best way to show your loved ones how much fun a Drink Free Day can be!
If you do decide to drink this weekend, do it at your own pace and avoid 'rounds'. They can be expensive and dangerous if it means keeping pace with the fastest drinker in your group. Stay in control by drinking at your own pace, with plenty of water in-between.
