In response to a report published by the House of Commons Home Affairs Committee on spiking, Annabelle Bonus, Drinkaware's Director of Evidence and Impact said,

“We welcome the release of House of Commons Home Affairs Committee report on spiking today.

"Drink spiking and spiking in other forms is a heinous act and a serious crime. The more information and discussion the better equipped we are to prevent it and support the people affected.

"With this in mind we are working with Anglia Ruskin University on vital research to better understand the prevalence of drink spiking in the UK, which will be released in 2023.
