Are you drinking too much?
Many people don’t always know how much alcohol they drink and whether their drinking has an impact on their health. Our self-assessment questionnaire can help you identify if your relationship with alcohol is about right, or if the amount you drink is risky to your health. We use a certified audit tool that is used internationally by medical professionals.
IMPORTANT: This assessment is only to be taken by persons aged 18 and over. Risk results shown are only valid for persons aged 18 and over. If you are under 18 years old view our information on the risks to your health of underage drinking and the law on alcohol and under 18s.
The test is based on the AUDIT tool, developed by the World Health Organisation and widely used internationally to screen for alcohol harm:
Babor, T. F., Higgins-Biddle, J. C., Saunders, J. B., & Monteiro, M. G. (2001). The alcohol use disorders identification test (AUDIT): Guidelines for use in primary care. World Health Organization, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse.
